Barclays Female Founder Accelerator 2023 member
Together Group

Together Global are innovators in the world of global team performance, with a unique approach towards business consultancy and training that links national culture to performance.
Operating from the UK, we deliver bespoke, modular programmes to any location in the world. We specialise in helping companies bridge cultural divides, particularly around Western-Indian cultures. This typically involves helping ‘Western’ organisations build better, stronger connections with their global counterparts, particularly in India, transitioning from command and control to more collaborative, Agile ways of working.
We identify, then address, failure and friction at geographic interfaces that reduces performance levels and results in ‘value leakage’. We then dissolve cultural barriers and align teams around a single global culture, so they’re more productive and engaged.
As creators of the CAT ‘Cultural Alignment Transformation’ concept, we have a market-first advantage. Our mission is to help global teams achieve remarkable levels of performance by getting culturally aligned.
Why did you apply for the Female Founder Accelerator?
I am currently delivering a successful £100k pilot for a £600m turnover global drinks brand and hope that the Accelerator can support me to transition from promising start-up to profitable scale-up.
Do you think there's a need for programmes like this for Female Founders?
Absolutely. Women face different challenges to men, often linked to confidence and circumstances, which I see reflected in the low ratio of female to male entrepreneurs. By bringing female founders together, we're able to identify and address these issues together, and support a new generation of young women to believe that there really are no limits to what they can achieve. Women also tend to build businesses that are purpose-driven, not just profit-driven. It's therefore extra important to support women to achieve their dreams.
Why did you want to start your business?
I spent many years as 'right hand woman' to Ivan Massow, a successful entrepreneur. I always knew the day would come when I'd branch out on my own. All I needed was the guts, confidence and a good business idea. That idea is Together Global.
What are you looking to get out of this programme?
Support, connections, and a contract with Barclays to deliver a pilot of my CAT programme! I delivered an LGBT programme to Barclays (GRB Tech) back in 2010 which took Barclays from 22nd to 3rd position in the Stonewall WEI. I'm hoping it's time for me to help Barclays again!
Which entrepreneur inspires you the most and why?
Madonna. Though not a typical entrepreneur in the Steve Jobs mould, she broke (or ignored) the rules and was a true disruptor in her field. By doing this, she cleared the way for a new generation of women.
What has been your biggest win in your entrepreneurial journey?
My first $100,000 contract with JPMorgan.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Explaining my concept to new clients. There's an element of market education involved as my programme isn't just cultural training, and people don't get that. That's why I start with a pilot to show the clear 'before/after' results when global teams are culturally aligned compared to when they're not!
Where did you go for business advice and how did it help you?
Friends and mentors. Sometimes I took it, other times I didn't. Experience, trial and error - there's no substitute for it. Failure is a great teacher too :)
What drives you to make your business a success?
Burning ambition and a true believe that it's my life's purpose to do this.
What advice would you give other founders thinking about starting their own business?
Go for it!
