Farmyard Frozen

The Farmyard range is frozen food for foodies.
Locally sourced. Locally cooked. Nationally delivered. It’s frozen food, but not as you know it.
Whatever your vibe or the size of your tribe, we’ve got you covered. Our Norfolk restaurant chefs source the best local Farm ingredients, to create hand-prepared dishes that are packed full of bold, fresh flavours; delivered straight from our yard to yours, and all frozen for your convenience.
Restaurant level meals on tap. Frozen never looked so hot.
Why did you apply for the Female Founder Accelerator?
To gain more knowledge and power in our sector.
Do you think there's a need for programmes like this for Female Founders?
Yes absolutely
Why did you want to start your business?
I saw a gap in the market, researched it fully and then leapt at it.
What are you looking to get out of this programme?
Experience, knowledge and perhaps contacts for investment
Which entrepreneur inspires you the most and why?
Madonna because she’s bold and decisive and survives and strives in a man’s world. She made her own luck.
What has been your biggest win in your entrepreneurial journey?
Being the first female to Direct Top Gear. But on this project specifically, persuading my Chef Patron husband to create a Beef Wellington which could be cooked from frozen!
What has been your biggest challenge?
Increasing awareness for our brilliant brand without a massive budget!
Where did you go for business advice and how did it help you?
I ask everyone in all areas I meet to glean all I can.
Branding experts told us we were selling ourselves short - they were right. Now our packaging and slogans match what we do.
What drives you to make your business a success?
A fire in my belly and a desire to get stuff done.
What advice would you give other founders thinking about starting their own business?
Be prepared for a lot of stress and hard work but nothing beats the buzz of getting it right.
Research the market - just because it doesn’t exist doesn’t make it a good idea.
Then once you know, crack on with it.
