CDL-Oxford Mentorship Programme
Barclays Eagle Labs have partnered with Oxford’s Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) to deliver their mentoring programme for Startups
Mentoring can be valuable to startups but finding the right mentor can be a challenge. The CDL-Oxford programme brings experienced founders together with startup founders of promising seed stage technology companies to share their expertise and help them grow their company.
Since its establishment in 2019, CDL-Oxford has helped to support over £1.3bn of Equity Value Creation. It provides mentorship to seed-stage, science and technology-based companies that have the potential to scale and help transform our social, industrial and economic landscape.
Together, Eagle Labs and CDL-Oxford will deliver three technology stream programmes.
The programmes bring together start-ups from the UK, Europe and beyond with a group of well-known and respected mentors, such as:
- Patrick Pinchette, former Chief Financial Officer of Google
- Shafali Roy, Founding Partner at First Look Capital
- Nigel Toon, CEO and co-founder of Graphcore
- Lucinda Bruce-Gardyne, Founder of Genius Foods Ltd
- Adrien Cohen, Co-founder and President of Tratable.
The CDL programme was conceived at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management in 2012, and CDL-Oxford is the first CDL site in Europe. It’s based at the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School in the heart of Oxford, with links to academic excellence, and easy access to Oxford University’s world-class research.
