We tell you which vitamins and minerals to take for your individual needs, based on history and lab results, helping you stay healthy and manage disease.
Important because pretty much all of us have a micronutrient deficiency or insufficiency that can lead to disease, and taking a multivitamin isn’t necessarily the best solution as we each need different amounts of each micronutrient based on age, environment, genetics, and more. Too little and too much can be harmful. How do you know which ones to take, and how much? We give clear, simple, tailor made advice.
Why did you join the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator?
I heard good reviews about FounderVine and wanted to make use of the support they offer.
Why did you want to start your business?
To satisfy an itch that won't let up.
What would be your desired outcome from this programme?
Either to secure pre-seed funding, or to make connections that lead to securing pre-seed funding.
Which entrepreneur inspires you the most and why?
Dr Vandana Shiva and her work at Navdanya, stepping away from the scarcity mindset into the abundant flow of Mother Earth.
What has been your biggest win in your entrepreneurial journey?
I find it delightful each time a would be customer gets the idea and responds with a flash of excitement and enthusiasm.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Wearing many hats and meeting an unending stream of commitments can be overwhelming at times.
Where did you go for business advice and how did it help you?
Accelerators, various regional support avenues, research funding support, mentoring - each has added something useful from knowledge about the start-up, investment, and digital health landscape, to pitch deck training, to project planning, and more.
What drives you to make your business a success?
I am approached every week by people looking for help to improve their health. I am saddened by the gap between my desire to help and capacity limited by complexity. I have found a way to handle complexity with relative ease, allowing me to help more people personally, through other healthcare practitioners, and by empowering individuals directly.
What advice would you give other founders thinking about starting their own business?
Get clear about the why and let that be your driving force. Also, never end the search for collaboration and support, to share the load and find encouragement.
