Why did you join the Barclays Black Founder Accelerator?
To tap into the Barclays and Foundervine networks in order to learn, grow and fortify ourselves as a market leader. Also, to develop my entrepreneurial skills and become a better leader.
Why did you want to start your business?
I started the business because I had a genuine love for eating healthy. Ultimately I wanted to create a health product that would help me to perform better mentally and physically.
It so happened that others around me wanted a piece of that fruit too.
What would be your desired outcome from this programme?
To learn, new ways to sell and market Dreamfruit. Learn how to effectively manage business finance. To build a more robust structure that allows me to leverage my time and focus on leadership.
Which entrepreneur inspires you the most and why?
Reece Wabara. Young man like myself from a similar background that's achieving levels of excellence. Ben Francis. Built a global brand with distribution centres around the world.
What has been your biggest win in your entrepreneurial journey?
Making over 2,000 customers happy and slightly healthier.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Finding funding.
Where did you go for business advice and how did it help you?
YouTube; learned a lot about social media.
What drives you to make your business a success?
The desire to inspire. The desire to positively impact the world. I firmly believe that this business can impact the health of our nation.
What advice would you give other founders thinking about starting their own business?
There can be no half stepping when pursuing your dreams.
