A startups journey to pivot
Founder Angus Abbott discusses the pivot process and why it has been the best thing for the company
19 June 2020 • 4 minute watch
Angus co-founded a management and visualisation tool for real estate digital assets but up until 2019 it was a different proposition, one which created a security token asset-backed through real estate. Angus and his fellow founders made a decision last year, off the back of investor feedback, to change course.
He talks about the challenges they faced, what they learned and what areas to focus on if pivoting.
“I’d say ultimately although it's be quite a daunting process to pivot and to give up on effectively the past two years of work, what we have learned is, what does and doesn't work for the team. That's allowed us to really build a better company more quickly and get our market offering out there much more quickly,” he said.
