Mentor's bio
Anthony is the founder of ADK. Building and advising tech hubs, accelerators and ventures for corporations, funds, banks and governments in more than 20 countries around the world. This includes designing and running the Airbnb Startup Programme, joined by 750+ entrepreneurs from 170 cities. Advising the University of Edinburgh’s AI Accelerator with 12+ AI startups each year. Advising the UK's National Cyber Security Centre startup programme with 8+ cyber startups each year, and multiple venture programmes across the UK, Europe and Africa. All of this has included mentoring and advising 1150+ startups with a combined valuation of £1.4 billion.
Anthony began his journey in the startup ecosystem in 2006 as an innovation programme manager with the UK government. He then joined Startup Weekend as a mentor in 2011 before their acquisition by Techstars, and then worked with Google as a startup programme advisor in 2012, before founding ADK in 2017.
Anthony is a non-executive director and member of the board of Spring, the UK's innovation accelerator transforming the future of water with new technologies. And an investor in new technology platforms and venture funds powering the future of finance and impact. This includes being a series A investor in Yonder, the next-generation credit card and technology platform providing rewards and new experiences. And an investor in Future Planet Capital, the global impact-led VC backing growth ventures in climate, life sciences and health
