Mentor's bio
Alan graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Engineering in 1997. He started his career as an electrical engineer, managing infrastructure consuming more than 1% of the total UK electricity supply before moving on to a career leading robotics and technology companies. His experience now covers a wide variety of industries from Construction and Pharmaceuticals to TV Broadcasting and SaaS Software. Passionate about technology, Alan combines a strong technical background in engineering with experience of solving real world problems for non-technical customers. He co-founded CyberHive, a cybersecurity company focused on cutting edge post-quantum cryptography and connectivity. Alan is a non-executive director for The Bradfords Group, a £0.25Bn turnover building supplies group. He also mentors on the prestigious 'Ignite' programme for the Cambridge University Judge Business School and as a consultant and sometime angel investor and also advises and mentors several early stage tech companies.
