The Vanuse mobile app allows customers to instantly order a van and driver to their location.
This affordable on-demand service is the new convenient way to order a van and driver to move one or more items in real time. Available on iOS and Android.
Vanuse started in early 2016. On several occasions Founder Gavin Sandells needed a van to help move large purchases quickly. Afterwards he would notice removal vans not being utilised midweek and thought there needed to be an easier way of linking parties together. Following a period of research, the design and build of the app started. The Vanuse app was launched in Brighton in Jan 2017. The launch has successful, with Vanuse welcomed by van drivers and hundreds of customers downloading the app in the first month. A large number of jobs were completed in the first 2 months, with satisfied customers receiving help when needed and drivers receiving extra money. Working with Gavin is Senior Developer Alex and Joseph, a Marketing Executive.
Why did you apply for the programme?
We applied to join the Flight programme because we saw it as a unique opportunity to get expert business mentorship and the business support we need to help grow Vanuse to its full potential. This is a high rapid growth business and needs the right sustainable growth strategy for the business.
What are you looking forward to most during your time at Brighton Eagle Lab?
I am most looking forward to learning a great deal about running a successful business from the line up of business mentors and presenters the programme has organised for us. It will be great to learn how to develop our business from the mentor assigned to Vanuse and the other Creative Advisors. I am also looking forward to working with the other 7 creative entrepreneurs.
Where do you see yourself and your business in 12 months time?
In 12 months I expect to see Vanuse rolled out across the UK. I know that Vanuse will be a stronger company due to this intensive mentorship. We also benefit from the opportunity to pitch to angel investors for the right future funding to grow the business further. All thanks to this opportunity provided by Barclays Eagle Lab and Creative England.
