Corporate Connections Founder Terms
Thank you for your interest in showcasing your company via Eagle Lab’s Corporate Connections programme, where we allow start-ups to propose solutions to a Corporate’s problem statement (Corporate Connections). Your proposed solution will be contained in a form submitted via our website (Application), which we will review and pass to the corporate entity which has set the problem statement (Corporate). These terms and conditions cover your Application and any activity in relation to such Application being made available to the Corporate (Terms).
By submitting your Application to us, you (as a Participant) are agreeing to these Terms with Barclays Bank UK PLC (we, us, our).
If you are a member of Barclays Eagle Labs, these Terms are in addition to your Eagle Labs membership terms.

Criteria to participate
To submit your application, you must (i) be over 18 years old; (ii) be based in the UK; (iii) be authorised to participate on behalf of the business you are representing. We may also make eligibility criteria available to you in the Corporate’s Challenge listing. By submitting your application, you confirm that you meet these criteria.
Your application
How we treat your application & information - No confidential or commercially sensitive information will be disclosed by You within any application form content, or as part of these Terms. Barclays does not control what the Corporate does with that information. Any information that you provide will be stored by Barclays and you are giving permission for Barclays to share that information with the Corporate. Any personal data you provide will be stored, processed and shared in accordance with our privacy policy.
Accuracy of information - It is your sole responsibility to provide accurate information as part of your response / application. Barclays will conduct no verification of any information you provide. Barclays has no responsibility around the accuracy of information provided to you by the corporate.
No guarantee - There is no guarantee that you’ll be provided an introduction to the Corporate, as introductions will be made based on the Corporate’s own eligibility criteria and within their own discretion, based on their individual requirements. Barclays will not have any responsibility to share specific reasons as to why the Corporate did not want to connect with you in response to your Application.
Intellectual Property - You grant to Barclays a non-exclusive, worldwide, revocable, royalty-free licence, to use all Intellectual Property Rights in (i) your Application for the purposes of reviewing your Application and sharing it with the Corporate, and (ii) Your business name and logos where required for the purposes of your appearance in any materials shared with the Corporate.
Application content guidelines – Your application must comply with the Content Guidelines set out below. You acknowledge that you are fully responsible for the content in your Application, and meeting the requirements set out in the Content Guidelines.
Restrictions & Limitations
Announcements - You will not make any announcements in connection with your Application.
Subsequent relationship - Barclays has no responsibility or involvement in any subsequent relationship or outcomes generated between yourself and the Corporate.
General Provisions
Governing law and jurisdictions. These Terms, and all disputes, claims, controversies, disagreements, actions and proceedings arising out of or in connection with them (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and all proceedings relating to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
Third party rights. Nothing in these Terms shall create any right enforceable by any third party and the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 shall not apply to these Terms.
Entire agreement. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to its subject matter, and supersede and extinguish all previous agreements, promises, assurances, warranties, representations and understandings between us, whether written or oral, in relation to that subject matter.
Content Guidelines
While preparing your Corporate Connections Application we ask that you follow the guidelines below. If we are not satisfied that you have met the guidelines, we will ask you to revise your Application before we share it with the Corporate.
Please note that these Content Guidelines are not intended as advice and, if you have any questions or concerns about the following, please ensure you obtain your own independent advice.
Do talk about:
- Your company and its history
- Your team, their skills and background
- Your business ideas, offerings, products services and Unique Selling Point.
Do not talk about:
- Detailed financial information such as your financial performance, past or predicted
- Market share size or your current market share
- Confidential information which relates to your business, its performance or protection
- The size or timeframe of your capital raising – such details may be shared as part of the Directory listing.
Minimum requirements
All information provided by you in your Listing should be:
- Factually accurate and up to date
- Clear, fair and not misleading
- You must have received express permission from those featured or quoted in the content for their details and information to be included.
Prohibited Content
Your Listing must not contain anything that:
- is unlawful or abusive in any way, including, but not limited to, anything that is defamatory, libellous, pornographic, obscene, threatening, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, inclusive of hate speech, or would constitute or encourage a criminal offence
- infringes the rights of any party (including Intellectual Property Rights)
- gives rise to liability or violation of any applicable law.
These Content Guidelines are educational only and provided to you on a non-reliance basis. Neither Barclays nor any person acting on our behalf will be held responsible for the use made of any information, guidance, advice, comments or opinions given to you in connection with preparing your Application. If you are in any doubt about the information you are making available in your Application, you should seek independent advice.
