Make sure your staff see each other at least once a month remotely in order to build culture at a distance. Laura Bosworth, Head of Sales and Marketing at Amiqus, says founders should at least encourage their staff to turn on their video feeds to help build a sense of community.

Find an emotional release

Psychological research tells us that people who create their own enterprises often have low levels of emotional stability, says Professor Almuth McDowall, occupational and organisational psychologist at Birbeck, University of London.
