Our first in a series of thought leadership reports, Decrypting the UK’s high-growth quantum technology companies, has been created in partnership with Beauhurst and funded by the UK Government, to provide a deep dive into the nation’s quantum sector.
The report explores the business demography of high-growth quantum companies, with most founders being UK nationals and nearly half (47.1%) of the active population being spinouts, centred around the “golden triangle” of the university cities: Cambridge, London, and Oxford.
It also provides key insights on why the UK is a fantastic hub for quantum, with various funding resources, entrepreneurial networks, and tax credits available to founders. Various insightful interviews with prominent founders within the quantum sector are also included, considering major success factors, support from the government as well as important challenges to be overcome.
