Ysabel Müller, better known as Noukky, was recently appointed the General Manager of the Overwatch League’s London Franchise, London Spitfire.

As the General Manager of an esports team, Ysabel describes her responsibilities as building and maintaining the lineup of players that London field, as well as being the public face of interviews. With Ysabel’s promotion, she will also continue to manage London Spitfire’s academy team, British Hurricane, and explains how much the talent development program means to her and the organisation.

Talent Development

In the inaugural season of the Overwatch League, Spitfire fielded a roster made up entirely of South Korean players acquired from fan favorite teams, Kongdoo Panthera and GC Busan. This roster found great success, winning the season in convincing fashion. For 2020, Spitfire has publicly stated a new focus for the roster, cultivating a roster of European talent that represents their home market.

New Focus

While Ysabel couldn’t confirm roster details at the time of recording, she did mention that several UK players were present in their tryouts process. Having managed many of the UK players already in the League, Ysabel gives us a quick rundown of who to look out for.

UK Talent

While the Overwatch League off-season has already been turbulent, London Spitfire has promised substantial change with a roster built much closer to home. The initial signing deadline for the league comes into play January 4th, so get ready to start seeing new faces joining London Spitfire soon, as they ready up for the 2021 season.
