Meet Tania, owner of Red Idea Digital Marketing

So Tania, can you tell us a little about Red Idea?

Red Idea specialises in delivering effective digital marketing and design for businesses. We have a well established reputation as a digital marketing agency for small businesses. We first set up in London and have helped organisations as diverse as London Borough Council’s to BodyLogic Health in improving and delivering their digital presence.

I'm Red Idea’s Director, and also lecture part time Masters degree students at Birkbeck College, University of London. Since opening a new office here in Bournemouth, which I must say has a vibrant and developing tech start up scene, has enabled us to obviously expand our business and client base, but also to feed off the undoubted energy of the place.

You’ve been with us for a few months now, what do you like most about working from the Eagle Lab?

I've built up a great rapport with the other people working here, like minded and all working hard to do new and innovative work. The Barclays guys have been super helpful. It’s working out really well for Red Idea here.

Can you tell us about any exciting projects you are working on?

We've just finished a project with a local business called Heymummy.tv, they're vloggers who work with lots of cool brands like Pampers, Disney and FisherPrice. They went through a whole rebrand and new website that was optimised for mobile, whilst also looking at business strategy and marketing guidance. We're about to launch mumsrecipes.co.uk, which is great website for cooking lovers, enable users to share and collect recipes (test phase at the moment). There are also some other super exciting things that we can't tell you about yet.

Marketing is an ever changing and evolving business; how do you stay up to date with new marketing techniques?

I keep up by attending lots of marketing and digital trade shows, tie this with training and workshops it keeps me bang up to date with the latest techniques. It's very time consuming but is essential in my profession.

And lastly the serious one... if you were a fruit, which fruit would you be and why?

A mango, because I love mango and it's juicy and very sweet, and bring nice memories from my childhood...
