The AR and VR markets are growing rapidly and will become a £100 billion industry by 2020*.

68% of the world's population owns a mobile device, with advancements in processor speed, cameras, and sensors every year. Augmented Reality is poised to change the way we search and expect to find information, blurring the lines between online and offline experiences.

Changing the way we interact with the world

HP Reveal turns everyday objects, images, and places into new opportunities for engagement through striking augmented reality experiences.

Below I am going to show you how to download and configure the app:

  1. Download the free HP Reveal app by searching the App Store or Google Play Store.

  2. You need to create an account. This allows you to share the AR examples you make.

  3. In the HP Reveal app you will be using your camera view over images tagged with the HP Reveal app.

  4. This will allow your objects to come to life!

It’s so simple & powerful that anyone can create, without any coding, an augmented reality experience. So, how do you make a dynamic business card?

When I give my card to a contact who also has installed HP Reveal they can point their phone at my business card. It will play a video and when they click on the video, the web browser opens my LinkedIn profile page.

*Research published earlier this year by Digi-Capital.

Step 1

Create your aura, upload your trigger

Step 3

Now add your trigger image I uploaded my Business Card.

Step 4

Upload your overlay this could be a video, image. I choose a video.

Step 5

Add Actions and click when tapped load URL I pasted in my LinkedIn.

You can make sure your newly made aura works. You need to save it, be careful, the first save of the creation will be public.

To make this work on your phone:

  • Open the HP Reveal app on your phone and log in using the same username and password as your HP Reveal Studio account.
  • Go to the Auras tab in the Explore section, you have to drag the page downward to refresh the Auras.
  • Select the app's view finder and point your device at the Trigger image below to preview your Aura.
