Expert advice to keep you on track
At Barclays, we have a huge amount of experience to support you in successfully building your business for the future, from our team of over 1,200 Relationship Managers supporting small and medium businesses across the UK, to our sector specialists.
- Our business support teams are specifically trained to help customers in financial distress. We understand how important the services they provide are and we are committed to increasing the size of these teams. The teams have a strong track record and our Barclays Business Support unit, which works with larger or more complex businesses in distress, has an average success rate of 80% at getting businesses back to good health.
- We know that early conversations are key and so we will be engaging with 20,000 customers a month to support them.
- We will also be launching our new SME Masterclass series with 50 sessions per month for SMEs around the UK. These regional events will be led by our local Business Banking teams and will focus on financial management, Government assistance, workplace wellness, cybersecurity and growth planning.
Digital tools for growing your business
Equipping you with the right digital tools can free you up to focus on your business and help you grow.
- We’re launching our Business Health Hub on our Eagle Labs website, providing businesses with a range of online resources, including practical advice from experts on managing your business finances, business growth strategies, the support available for your business, employee wellbeing and ways to stay cyber secure. The hub will include our comprehensive post-lockdown resilience guide, as well as a new Business Health Checklist to ensure you have all the information you need in order to thrive.
- The Hub will also provide information and signposting to a range of external support from alternative lenders to Government programmes such as the Help to Grow scheme.
Wellness
We know that debt can cause emotional strain. That’s why we have a specialist team who provide bespoke support for our most vulnerable customers in times of crisis. We recognise the importance of this work and that’s why as part of our pledge we are committing additional funding for our charitable partners to help them support our most vulnerable customers.
