Tell us about EcoNomad Solutions

EcoNomad Solutions is an agritech / cleantech start-up. Our ambition is to reduce environmental impact of livestock smallholdings through animal waste-to-energy conversion on small scale and locally. Using a number of proprietary technologies, we deliver affordable and easy to use solutions for small size farms to increase their ability to operate sustainably, off the grid and benefit from that.

Our first product is an innovative, scalable waste-to-energy platform, which can be easily shipped and installed even in very small farms (equivalent of 5 cows and more). The solution produces biogas for cooking, heating or electricity, as well as a high-grade organic fertiliser.

We have also developed a ground-breaking solar water pumping technology which does not require any electronics, photovoltaics or moving parts, and is based purely on solar-thermal principles.

Besides these solutions, we work on a range of supplementary products and services that will practically help small farms to overcome waste disposal issues and generate additional revenue stream.

EcoNomad Solution is funded by SHAKE Climate Change incubator and multiple grants, including UKRI Innovate UK and European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme. We are supported by number of partners, amongst others Royal Academy of Engineering, Rothamsted Research and UCL.
